Even without high demand plan just cause you have loyalty you can get couple of bucks for it.
They can change the number easily, or if you wish you can change it just before you ask moderators to change email on file.
There are people who will be happy to get it as a gift too, just remove your credit card and the relevant info before passing it on
It if you don't want to bother, remove your payment info and forget about it.
Any time you want to come back it will be just as easy
Sorry to see you go
Best wishes

Choices to cancel service:
1. Quick and keeping your phone number
Remove autopay credit card info to stop autopay and port your number to another provider. Your account will be canceled right away.
2. Slow and not keeping your phone number.
Remove autopay credit card info to stop autopay. Your account will be suspended without payment at your next renewal date. 90 days after suspension, your account will be cancel.
3. Make money and not keeping your phone number
This idea was suggested by @kselmak's post above. I listed as one of the choices.
If you have a plan with high demand, you can let someone to take over your plan. You phone number will go with the plan.

Hey @Anonymous - haven't seen you in a while. There's now a preferred method that the company wants people to use to contact them. It's that chatbot thingy called SIMon accessible from the little ? balloon in the lower right if and when it feels like showing itself.
<s> Customers are supposed to cite magical incantations to somehow find their way to something called Submit ticket. /s
Welcome back.

You could also get somebody else to take it over.
Depending on your plan and the loyalty and other rewards accumulated you can actually get cash for your account. Some old plans are still on demand

You can remove your credit card to stop autopay for your next renewal.
To set up AutoPay, sign in to your Self-Serve account, select the ‘Payment’ tab, then ‘Register for AutoPay’. From here, you can sign up for AutoPay or remove the feature, if you no longer want payments to automatically occur. If you would like to change the card that is automatically charged, scroll to the bottom of the ‘Payment’ tab, then select ‘Manage my card’. This will allow you to update or remove your credit or Visa Debit card.

@ycramear222 , all of the above, simply transfer/ port your number to a different provider. To do this, your account must be active.

@ycramear222 Disable autopay and don't pay. It will be cancelled automatically after 90 days.

@ycramear222, to cancel service, simply stop paying for renewals and the account will auto deactivate after 90 days of suspension. There are no penalties, this is prepaid without contract.
