What 'Web' use would typically consume 39Mb of data in 40min?

Hey @79lemmonjr

Here's the recommendation:

  1. Go into the solution you granted yourself,
  2. click the down arrow on the top right,
  3. go down and take away the solution you granted yourself,
  4. look over the replies on the thread and
  5. select the user who best answered your initial question and grant that user the solution.

Then, all will be well with the masses here.

Have a great day!!!  😊

Lol....ummm it's exceptionally bad community etiquette to ask and answer your own question and assign yourself the solution.

I would consider that as forum software bug if you can solution your own post even I have seen few cases of such behaviour but from new members only.

Might not be video call

Most video call apps use a minimum of about 500 kbps (3.75 MB/minute) for one-way standard definition calls and a maximum of around 1.8 Mbps (13.5 MB/s) for one-way high-definition video. Doubling those to account for the two-way flow, that's a total of 7.25 MB/minute minimum, 27 MB/minute maximum

39Mb in 40 mins is not that much honest, you could have consumed it with regular web browsing

If you want to check what is consuming data, check your self serve data allotment value before starting and check it again after finishing.

Subtract the two values,  and that's how much data was consumed.

Here's where to find it in your self serve:

@79lemmonjr

Watching videos utilizing data would easily cause this consumption.

One way to tell is to check your device's history and items which most contributed to your data consumption.

Geez you're not making any friends here with this kind of behavior. An Oracle will just come along and archive your posts and will have wasted all this time messing around for nothing rather than figuring out how the community works and see in if you would like to contribute in a meaningful manner.

If you would would like to choose this route then feel free to ask some questions on how to do this and we will be happy to answer. But if you just want to mess around then head on down to lounge grab your self a refreshing drink or maybe a hair of the dog....need someone to Irish up that coffee for ya? Then that's the place be....😉👍🍺🥃😜

BTW.....

Depending on the quality of your video call stream, you'll generally consume between 540 MB (for default SD) and 1.62 GB (for 1080p, full HD) of data per hour if you're using Zoom to meet one-on-one with another user.

However on the lower end of the scale of voip providers such as fongo uses 0.5mb/min with others using upwards of 1mb/min. So a regular phone call using a voip provider could reasonably use 39mb during a 40 minute call.

Anything, really. If you visit a website with a lot of media content, or watch video, 45Mb will be gone in 3 minutes. 45Mb is not that much, actually
