Unfortunately 2G network coverage is poor in Florida. It is very location dependent. Use the cell mapper link contained in the update post of the following linked thread to search for 2G cell sites and their zone coverage for Florida.

Otherwise download textnow with a Canadian phone number to use the 4G LTE network or wifi to make voice calls. You can call your voicemail for messages (press "*" when voicemail picks up and enter your voicemail pin# to access your voicemail services) and/or change your greeting to include your textnow phone # so your callers can reach you.

If on T mobile network, try to manually select 2G network for talk.

Can you manually switch your phone down to 2G/GSM? I guess your phone didn't get enabled for volte either..

@WayneG

Do you know if your account has been switched to VoLTE before you left for the states?

If not, you will need to connect to T mobile 2G Network for talk to work (3G network is decomissioned).  Unfortunately, the 2G network coverage and reception is spotty depending on your location.

Did you manually connect to the T-Mobile network on your phone?

It needs to connect to the T-Mobile network to work.
