I want to register a second phone and don't want to use a different email address. Can two phones be put on one account?

While this is a good suggestion for gmail (and recently exchange online for office 365) -- it isn't universal. Look into what your e-mail provider supports.

@Poleman Also if by chance reason you wanted to do this was say for billing to be on same day for example , you could make sure to activate 2nd line on the renewal day of your current line so bill comes same day every 30 days going forward

@Poleman Unfortunately no each phone line needs its own email , so just one phone line per account , but you can use same payments option for both accounts

@Poleman Sorry, PM Is one account one email , no exception.
Just open a new free Gmail and use it for this purpose

Sorry, but each phone number must be in a seperate account.
