Starting a new plan

I have never been with public but I want to start. Do i need to purchase my sim card before I can make an account and pay for a plan?

Yes you need to purchase a PM SIM first. Canadian Cell Supplies online in Ontario have the SIM on sale for $3.99.

Sometimes London Drugs, Walmart Public retailers will give a free SIM if they activate the SIM for you.

Check out if there is a retailer near you to buy a SIM card. You can also activate with them if you wish, but activating online goes very smoothly if you choose that as well.

- Buy a PM SIM card from any source as long as it is legal.

- Open account at PM site, activate SIM, pick phone number

-- If you want to port your number from any other provider, I suggest you get any number, confirm service is working as expected and then port (change) number.

- Set up autopay, register your credit card for easy bill payment.

@dylandev  Correct. You don't have to buy a sim card from Public Mobile and wait for it to be delivered but you do need to purchase a sim card firstt. You can get one from your local Walmart or London drugs. They can activate it for you or you can just buy the sim card and do everything at home. Don't forget to use a referral code for a $10 sign up bonus.
