Do you suspend account for a certain period of time? Plan to spend vacation outside of Canada for about 3 months. Thanks

@JoyLuck FYI: the 90 days begins the day an account is Suspended whether because of missed payment OR by using the Lost/Stolen phone feature. The latter is important for anyone who purposely suspends service to avoid using up Available Funds.

PM does not have seasonal hold similar to Koodo up to 6 months.

But if you stop payment on your next renewal date, your account will be suspended.  Please note that if you have available fund in your account enough to pay for your renewal, PM server will use your available fund to renew your plan.

You have 89 days to reactivate your account by paying your plan fee.  Otherwise, your account will be canceled and your phone number will be back to the provider who gave you your number.

While you are on holiday, it is the last thing you want to keep track of.  You can switch to the cheapest plan for $13 with autopay.  Cheaper if you have other rewards.

@jelc_0611....

Just before you go, consider downgrading to the lowest cost plan ($15) for the time you're away and just keep Autopay for the 3 months ..then when you get back, you can upgrade again as long as desired plan still available.

For less than $45...why not ?

If you have autopay setup then remove it but you need to make a payment before 90 days in order to keep your account and phone number.

You have 90 days from your renewal date to pay to keep your account active. After 90 days it is closed automatically.

Missed Payments

If you miss a payment due date, your account will be put into a suspended state, meaning you will be unable to use your phone services. You will have up to 90 days to make a payment, and after doing so your payment cycle with restart and your service will resume. After 90 days, suspended accounts are permanently deactivated, which means you will:

  • Lose access to your phone number, and won’t be able to transfer it to a new provider in the future.
  • Need a new Public Mobile SIM card if you decide to activate a new Public Mobile account.

Remove autopay and at next payment due date your account will go to suspended stays as it did not collect your payment. Note if you have an available balance that is over your plan cost the system would still debit from your plan cost from that.

Click payment then manage auto-pay and you will be able to disable it. You can also call 611 to disable it.

At 90 days in this status the account is deleted and number is gone. So set a reminder around 85 day mark to log in and reactivate your account.

Safe travels!
