Samsung A02 Compatibility

Hi! I'm from the States and need a Canadian number for the summer. I have a Samsung A02 which uses Tracfone Wireless in the States. The link for checking phone compatibility isn't working for me. I can check with my provider on whether or not the phone is unlocked, I just need to know the compatibility of the phone itself.

Thank you in advance!

Sorry the link for phone compatibility hasn't worked in a very long time, they should either fix it or turf it altogether (or at least have a message indicating it isn't functional) as it usually causes confusion and delay and people end up on here looking for answers anyways

@softech

Thanks, I updated the post. My bad, I was looking at the 2G frequencies

@ahg18_70   the phone would work but might not work very well

These are the bands on A02, BOLD are the compatible bands on PM

3G bands HSDPA 850 / 900 / 2100
4G bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38, 40, 41

My research doesn't show it has the 1900 frequency, Also, the bands it does not have enough bands on 4G to secure a stable data connecton

If you have it already, try it.

but if you are buying it , I would avoid it.  Voice and Data could be an issue in some area

Any phone you are considering should ideally have 3G 850 and 1900 and LTE B4 (or B66 instead of B4), B12 (or B17 instead of B12) for minimum coverage.

@ahg18_70

Yes the A02 is compatible with PM as long as it is unlocked.

It will work in 850 MHz frequency in 3G.

1700/2100 MHz frequencies in 4G.
