Roaming in USA, Unlimited talk add on

Purchased a 10 day add on for unlimited talk in USA.

Questions:

1. how does data work, would I get messages only on wi-fi or does data used from Canadian plan?

2. Is the unlimited calling only for USA numbers? What if someone from Canada calls me when I am in USA, do I incur long distance changes?

3. I would assume, I don’t have to keep the phone on airplane mode for calling to work on the phone, correct?

PM talk roaming isn't good in US because of poor coverage under T-mobile 2G network. However, you may get refund later.

1. Data does not get used from your plan. You would need data roaming add-on. Messages depends on your phone settings and kind of phone. It's messy with iphones.

2. Calling is Canada and US. No extra charges for you.

3. Why would you be on airplane mode?

Be sure to manually connect to T-Mobile. Talk is very problematic in the states these days. T-Mobile lets us use there old 2G system for talk.
