Replacing lost SIM card

Lost my SIM card so bought a new one. I have put it in my phone. I have also logged into my public mobile account and updated the SIM card number. I am still not getting text messages or getting service on my phone. What else do I need to do?

@JaimeHilbert if you login My Account using browser with Incognito mode, do you see that correct new. sim card number there on the Profile page??

Have you tried to reboot your phone? Also, try resetting your network settings. EDIT: After resetting your network settings, reboot. Sorry, forgot to add that.

If that doesn't work, please submit a ticket to customer service.
