Received text spam after renewing my PM account?

Jimbo21
Great Neighbour / Super Voisin

I received a suspicious text message telling me I can redeem funds after I had just updated my account information not 10 minutes before. Telus owns Public Mobile.

All the names and links looked very suspicious. Is the Telus network compromised?

Below is what I got (with links blanked out for security reasons).

@Jimbo21

Those scammers will try anything to get you to click on the link. The recent one claims Canada Post tried calling me about a undelivered package and want me to click on the link to arrange for delivery...LoL

@Jimbo21   Ignore the text.  delete it, NEVER click on the link from suspicious text.  PM will never send you text and tell you to get your money back that way

It's not really PM fault for sms like this.  People can easily guess your provider from your phone number and send out phishing text like that
