Hello,
I am trying to transfer my phone number from bell to public mobile, but it keeps saying that my number is not a valid Canadian phone number.

HI @MK2312
if it is a Toronto number, I am pretty sure you can port into PM, but you can still use the check to confirm

What I suggest is to activate and get a new number first. After activation, you can try request porting again iva My Account, Profile Page. If same, you can submit ticket with PM agent and ask them to help porting

Just to clarify, please only contact Public Mobile customer support agents. The Telus porting team will not be able to assist with this at the moment as there is no open porting request.

Sorry, but Public Mobile gennerally doesn't offer refunds. Is your Bell phone number still active? Only active numbers can be transferred to another carrier. Please contact Public Mobile customer support agents to get this resolved.

It immediately gave me the error message the first time I tried.

Did you already have an open porting request, or the Public Mobile website immediately give that error message the very first time you tried?

All active Toronto numbers, including area code 437, can be ported to Public Mobile.

Depending on which city the phone number is from, the number might not be elibible for number porting to Public Mobile. Which city?

The Telus porting team should not be contacted if the error shows up about the number not being portable. It's possible that there is no open porting reqeust to begin iwth, and as such, they wouldn't be able to help in that type of situation.
