Noticed that iPhone switches to 5G+ with iOS 17.4 update

Just updated my iPhone SE to iOS 17.4 and noticed that my phone switches from 5G to the 5G+ band.  The speeds are still the same, 250Mbps max. Read somewhere that this is also happening to Telus and Koodo with the iOS 17.4 update. Haven’t heard anything about the iOS 17.4 5G+ Telus/Koodo update happening to Public Mobile.

5G+ is within the 5G spectrum. I would suggest your set the Voice & Data in the Cellular Data Option setting to 5G Auto so it will connect to the strongest 5G signal and will not drain your battery at the same time.
