No service

Hwa

I have been living at same place in BC for a year; no prior problems.  Last night lost service.  On and off airplane mode did not remedy.  Searching for networks on phone, the list does not contain Telus or Publicmobile. Downdetector reports no problems in this area.

What's going on?

@Hwa

As mentioned above, maybe try the SIM card in another working phone.  This helps determine whether hardware issue versus PM service problem.

Is it possible that your phone got blacklisted?

you can try reseat the SIM card and Make sure your phone is off before removing your SIM card,

1. power off your device

2. take out the SIM card,

3. waiting a 1 minute,

4. put it back and power on,

5. toggling airplane mode off/on,

and try manually selecting network "3G ONLY" or WCDMA only,

I am in the Lower Mainland and no issues with PM today. Maybe the last heavy dump might be the issue with the Telus tower in your area.
