No incoming/outcoming calls

I can't receive or make out going calls.  Also anyone without an iphone can't receive my texts nor can I text them.  Only imessages work. 

It's been over a week.  I have turned the phone off and on, removed Sim card. 

I have called the porting number and they say my number has been ported.

Thinking I should just cancel my public moblie and go somewhere else

@Tonya22...are you able to try that sim in a different phone...to see if the problem is phone-related ?

Check to see if your phone was added to be blacklisted, here:  https://www.devicecheck.ca/check-status-device-canada/

Also, was your phone locked to its previous provider? If so, you will need to contact them to unlock it for you.

Maybe give the suggestions from this link a try.

Also try deleting all previous Carrier Profiles under Settings -> General -> Profiles.
