It has been almost 24 hours since transferring my number to Public and my texting is not working

Is talk working?  Are you able to receive phone calls?  Data? What model phone are you using?  

There is a known issue with iMessage and PM is working on a fix.

You can also try a network reset of your phone.

@Bob76 - Please contact CS_Agent to do an account refresh to receive SMS and MMS - they cannot help with the activation of iMessage.

But yeah, PM is experiencing issues with iMessage & FaceTime activations (Which they cannot help with) and SMS and MMS (Where they can troubleshoot)
