I have international LD minutes & I travel with my Canadian plan visiting Asian countries like Hong Kong SAR , cities in mainland China.
Do I need to purchase separate LD plans receiving or making calls abroad there?

Your best bet is to purchase a pre-paid sim from the new country since PM doesn't provide roaming capabilities beyond the US. You can probably google search which pre-paid sim cards are highly recommended in the country you plan to visit because certain providers are spotty.

Public Mobile only works in Canada and The US (with a roaming add on or Can-US plan). The long distance add-on’s are for long distance calls made within Canada. You will need to purchase a local prepaid sim or a travel eSIM from a company like Airalo or nomad in order to have service while you’re abroad.

HI @3813 all those LD minutes are to be used to call from Canada, not when you are there
and PM has no roaming services in HK, China. So, you will need to use local data sim. They are pretty cheap in Asia
