it’s difficult to understand what you mean by you “lost the phone number”?
If you mean it’s no longer active in a mobile account, then, yes, you’ll need to contact Google to get this sorted out.

More details would be helpful. Not sure if a Public mobile issue.
What do you mean by losing your phone number? Did you lose your phone?
Can you get authorization for gmail via other means instead of phone number? Ie. another email address?

@Ransford - After 90 days of suspension on PM (Not paying) it will remove your phone number and delete your account.
IF you got the phone number from Telus, Koodo, or Public Mobile you have 90 days after suspension without being in the pool before people can pick it. You can contact CS_Agent for that:
⬇️Click the link for an Agent * ⬇️

If the link above doesn’t work, please go here to create a ticket to CS_Agent: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437
* - CS_Agent will typically get back to you within 48 hours. You will be required to login to your Public Mobile Community Account to contact CS_Agent. Once you are finished making the ticket with CS_Agent, please ensure that you monitor for an agent because they may notify you asking for some information via Private Message, in your mailbox by clicking this link here: Messages
IF you got it from another carrier, Bell = Virgin, Lucky Mobile, PC Mobile, Rogers = Fido, Chatr wireless ask them for the phone number.
If it has been 180 days since first day of suspension, you have more than likely lost your phone number.
Please contact Google for Gmail issue:
