I can't recieve phone calls?

Sunspot

I started using public mobile a few weeks ago and I thought I had activated my sim card but I'm unable to receive phone calls. Does that mean my phone is incompatible or was there a problem with the activation?

APN settings are unrelated to the ability to receive phone calls.

outgoing calls and text and data works fine?

issue with both incoming calls and text?  You never receive a single one?

Did you request porting in number from another provider?  if so, you can try to put the previous provider SIM into the phone and see if you have service and if incoming calls go to that old SIM.  If that is the case, PORT was not successful.   If it is over 1 full month, then you need to re-request the porting .  If it is less than one full month, let us know, there is a number you can call to re-trigger the porting process easier

@Sunspot

Have you had that issue from day one?

Then your SIM may not be properly provisioned. Ask CS to have a look and correct it.

For phone compatibility, you can check, here

For activation, you can insert your sim in another phone to see if it works

I m sure you have taken out the SIM and put it back while rebooting the device. If you havent then try this first.

Did you port your number from another provider to PM?

Device is not a major part in this problem but look at the settings. Might need a reset. If you can share your model then we can list the proper settings.
