I can't Receive incoming calls and/or text messages And cannot send text messages but can make out

I just switched from chatter to public and I'm able to make outgoing calls but not able to receive incoming calls incoming text message and I'm not able to send outgoing text messages

I need to get public mobile to resend a portal request to chatter is chatter so I can confirm the number change I Is timed out on the original Request and I still can't receive phone calls or text messages or send text messages

do you get a SMS message from your old carrier asking to confirm if you would like to Transfer your number. Your reply should be: YES.

 

The confirmation message can take a few minutes to come in. You have 90 minutes from the time of request.

you can do some troubleshoot your device and test

you can try reseat the SIM card and Make sure your phone is off before removing your SIM card,

1. power off your device

2. take out the SIM card,

3. waiting a 1 minute,

4. put it back and power on,

5. toggling airplane mode off/on,  

 

and you can try to reset network settings and Changing APN Settings,
for iphone

Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

*what is meant by rebooting the device turn off and turn it back on.

 

try to check update your device,

 

you can try to test your SIM card in another device to you know the issue from SIM card network or your device issue.

Try rebooting your phone. Power off your phone then wait a few minutes then power the phone back on.
