How to request PUK code to unlock phone

How to request PUK code? Trying to activate new Public Mobile SIM card and phone is asking for PUK code. I've asked my old provider - Rogers to unlock the phone but they sent me to Public Mobile. On Public Mobile website, they say that they unlock only Telus and Koodo phones.

So what should I do?

Thanks for help,

Anna

@Anuta666 @I had the same problem 3 weeks ago. Contact a public mobile advisor and they will give you the code. You will have to make sure it's you so you will have to answer some security questions. Then they will give the PUK code and you will be fine!

During the transfer process my phone asked me for two codes. A Master Unlock Pin and a SIM Network Unlock Pin. I contacted Samsung (my phone being a Samsung) directly for these. I used the live chat on Samsung's website. They were helpful and it was quick and easy. I did have to provide the IMEI# for my phone. Maybe you could try contacting the company who manufactured your phone and see if they know what code you need? Hope this helps 🙂

Here's more information that Oracle @Luddite write on another thread that might help you.

"SIM network PIN blocked. Enter SIM network PUK." is asking for the phone’s (often Samsung) “master code" after entering the wrong code too many times. Samsung and/or your previous carrier can give you this.

"SIM network unlock PIN" is asking for your previous carrier's unlock code - just contact them with your IMEI and they'll give it to you. If you enter this incorrectly too many times, you'll get the error message above.

“PIN unlock key (PUK)” is a SIM-specific code used to prevent unauthorised use of a SIM card.

The PIN (Personal Identification Number) enables secure access to the SIM card and network. It is provided with your SIM card.

  • If the PIN code is entered incorrectly 3 times, the phone is locked (except for emergency calls) and requires a PUK (Personal Unlock Key) to reactivate it.

  • Once the PUK is recovered and validated, you will be asked to choose a new PIN.

  • Only Public Mobile's moderators can give you this type of code, which the device manufacturer cannot. Public Mobile's moderators can be contacted at the following address: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437

  • Caution! If the PUK is entered incorrectly ten times in a row, the SIM card becomes unusable.

PUK code is different from unlock network phone. If it's asking for PUK code contact moderators.
