Hello,
I am working with my CRA account in South Korea, but I cannot get a SMS (text msg)from them to identify myself. Can I use the roaming service with public mobile in South Korea or is there any way to get the SMS? This cell phone number is the only the info registered there so plz help me out, thank you

CRA suggests selecting "call me" instead of SMS for the code if you are using a voip app. There's also now a "passcode grid" option, but the OP presumably will still have to contact CRA to set up an alternative

Most VoIP app cannot receive 2FA code by design
TextNow can receive some 2FA code but you need to pay
Fongo might receive some, but I doubt they can receive 2FA from Revenue Canada
Authenticator app should be the way to go instead of SMS

@Suy PM service will not work at all in Korea. You would need to look into other ways of using and registering an internet based phone number/service (VOIP) that will allow you to receive verification SMS after registering the number with CRA. TextNow will allow this but you need to pay a fee to keep your number. An alternative to all this is using an authenticator app. CRA is now set up to allow this. No need to worry about receiving SMS, you can use the service anywhere.

sorry @Suy , no roaming service in S. Korea (PM only have roaming for US and Mexico). So, you won't be able to receive text in S. Korea. It is better to arrange other mean for 2FA with CRA instead of via sms before you make the trip.

Hi, no you won't be able to receive SMS in South Korea. No roaming outside of North America.
You can try and ask them to send code by email.
