Friend Referral / previous phone number transfer

Hi Everyone,

My friend wants to subscribe to Public Mobile and is asking if his previous phone number from another provider (rogers) can be transferred over to PM.

Without knowing which city the phone number is from, no one here can accurately answer this question.  There's a requirement that both involved carriers must both other phone numbers for that same location.

@khoat  Yes your friend can transfer the number on activation . Or pick a temp number with PM and then transfer afterwards . Just remember to keep old providers sim in the phone so you can reply YES to the confirmation text to transfer number from old provider . Then wait for that sim to stop working usually with in 20 mins to 2 hours and then put  in the PM sim and you’re good to go . And don’t forget to use your referral code

Yes. As long as his Rogers account is still active he can port the number. If the account is closed, nope. It's gone.

EDIT: Make sure he enters your ref code correctly. Also, keep an eye on it to make sure you're credited. Sometimes mistakes happen.
