Data not working

I just signed up last night with PM with my new OnePlus 5 and I've followed the many guides for setting up my APN, but I can't get my data working. I get the 4G+ symbol, My texts and calls work, but not my data. Do I just need to wait longer, or am I missing something?

@sjellicoe surprised you needed to reset on a brand new device but hey whatever works eh? 🙂 enjoy your phone, I'm jealous with my OnePlus 3 which is so 2016!

Thanks 🙂 This fixed my problem. I was not on any other network with this phone however, so that seems a little strange.

@sjellicoe have you used the OP5 on any other networks before trying to use it with Public Mobile?  For example, if you've used it on Freedom Mobile/Wind, you will probably need to do a factory reset to get the data flowing.  In fact, if you can see the data in your plan in your self-serve account, that's probably the next step the community would recommend is doing a factory reset.  Unfortunately it will wipe your phone clean, so please back up anything you wish to keep that isn't already backed up or synced to a cloud-based service.

S5 won't work unless if you get it unlock.

I put it in my old S5  and on boot it wants a SIM networkunlock PIN which I don't know probably because it was a Virgin Mobile device when I bought it and is locked to them

Also try your sim in other phone if available to check if its service or hardware issue. If it's hardware then recommend factory reset.

@sjellicoe, does your self serve account show data in addons? I wouls also check that cellular data is turned on. If all of this is good you will need to contact a MODERATOR with your email and phone number
