Can't receive texts and iMessage and FaceTime not working after number transfer

Hi all,

I just transferred my number over from Rogers to PM and now I can't send or receive texts. I have no problem making or receiving phone calls but for whatever reason I can't send or receive texts. My iMessage and FaceTime also are unable to be activated. Every time I turn them on I get an error saying "Activation unsuccessful. Turn on iMessage to try again." I've turned it on and off like 20 times and keep getting the same issue. I've tried restarting my phone like 10 times and it makes no difference. 

Anyone have any suggestions on how I can get my texts/iMessage/FaceTime working again?

I had  the same problem, looks like a lot of people are. I submitted a ticket for an agent to assist by going through the chatbot and they reset things on their end and it all worked afterwards https://widget.telus.tiia.ai/publicmobile/publicmobile.html

You can buy a new SIM card. In my case it was only a solution that helped me in same situation.

@mgaber - PM is experiencing an issue with iMessage, FaceTime & SMS / MMS activation issues for new accounts.

that's a known problem with porting in to PM for the last coupla days...they're working on resolution.

In the meantime, please try troubleshoot steps:
Tap Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
