Can't receive calls etc.

It has been over a week since I went to Public Mobile and I still haven't been able to receive calls or texts.  Very frustrating!  Why?

you get a new number or you did transfer old number to public mobile! if so 

do you get a SMS message from your old carrier asking to confirm if you would like to Transfer your number. Your reply should be: YES.

 

if you stuck with Transferring your old Phone Number, or is not complete processing

@Mitzerl  - more details would be helpful. A stuck port can prevent calls from coming in, but you should have been able to text in/out at some point.

 

Did you activate with a new number or transferred over from another provider.

 

Have you tried:

  • restarting your phone
  • removing and reinserting your SIM
  • toggling to airplane mode and back again
  • performing a reset of your device's network settings

Can you try your SIM into another compatible phone and see what services you have?

 

What model of phone do you have?

Make sure you did not ignore the transfer request SMS. If you have your old SIM, pop it in and see if your old service provider is still active. if it is the transfer did not work. you will need to open a ticket via simon to start over the transfer process

If you tried to port over a phone number, it probably didn't work out. Did you try to do a port request during your activation?

@Mitzerl  Sounds like your port is Stuck.
