Can't receive calls and send text messages.

Hello,

I bought a new sim card and activated my sim on Sep 10. However, I am having the below issues. I saw a few similar posts, but the solutions involve private messaging the moderator. I have messaged the moderator but haven’t received a response yet. Any of your help would be appreciated.

- I haven't been able to receive calls, the calls don't go to voicemail either.

- I have also not been able to send text messages.

- I was not able to receive verification code (text) from Uber either.

Thank you.

Thanks @Jarvar

A moderator replied to me and the problem was solved after changing my phone #.

@nepalivcg

Hereis a thread on the APN settings for ipones. Take a read through it as it also has some members talking about other issues with iphones and how they solved them. Hopefully a moderator gets back to you soon if it is a deeper issue that requires their intervention.

@Jarvar

Thanks, it’s an iPhone 6s. I did not port an existing number, it’s a new one.

I have the $35 plan with data.

Welcome to Public Mobile. It must be difficult when signing up for a new service abd everything is not working as expected.

That was a good call messaging a moderator and getting things started.

Could you provide some more information?

What kind of phone do you have?

Did you also port a numbet over to Public Mobile or did you sign up for a new one?

Which Public Mobile plan do you have? Do you also have data?

This extra information would help in finding a solution.

@nepalivcg, did you attempt to port a number?  Usually the inability to receive means failed port.  You are in the right track to seek moderator team assistance.  Their response time is around 48 hours.
