have tried to port out of public mobile but gives me error saying I can’t or not allowed to port out in Red

where did it show you in red that it cannot be ported out? do you mind to share a screenshot
While most number can be ported around, but not all numbers can be ported into particular provider. But this is more a problem with the new provider you need to port into rather PM not allows you. Each number is associated with a "rate centre", pretty much city or town. Your nee provider must have an operation in that rate centre for you to port your current PM number into. If they dont have any operations there, they won't be able to take your current number from PM. Check with your new provider and find out why you cannot port in

All support is to be provided by the new provider. All this ends needs is to be active and that you leave this sim in a phone to confirm.

@Sean13 Where are you trying to port to and do you leave the PM SIM card in the phone to reply YES to the confirmation text ? And is the PM account active ? It needs to be to port out .
