I have just switched to public mobile and i wish to retain my old number - a telus number originally - then switched to phone-go in waterloo.  Now I wish to activate this number on Public Mobile.  The instructions said to insert the old sim card - well I do not have the old sim card.  So what are next steps?

OP says is porting from Phone Go?  (maybe Fongo?)

Went there from TELUS,  i believe that's what they wrote.

The port will have to be manually done.

Let your old provider know that you wish to move number from there to here.

Then call the porting assistance number which I will send you by private message. To check, click the envelope icon upper right.

hi @BryantJoan17 usually you need your old sim card to reply Yes to your old provider to approve the porting, and account has to be active.

But you are lucky you are porting from Telus, as PM is owned by Telus.  They can likely port without the sim.  Please open a ticket with them and request manual porting help
