I am being charged on my Visa account twice a monthly for the past couple of months? Why?

@davidsbuchanan   did you recall any issue with Activation?

 

If you activated in store, maybe the mobile agent has tried again with a different SIM and activated multiple times (although the screen said Error). This happened to me before.

 

Or even you activated online, maybe you got an error and you tried again couple times?

 

If any of these sound familiar, you can open a ticket with PM and they can trace and provide refund and closed those "ghost" accounts

 

open a ticket with PM Support click on the Bubble or directly at : https://publicmobile.ca/chatbot. Follow this to get to ticket open screen quicker:

  • type: Contact CS Agent
  • Click "Contact Us"
  • Click "Other"
  • Click "Click here to submit a ticket"
  • you will then direct to another page to open ticket.

 

After ticket is submitted, make sure to check your Community Inbox(top right corner envelope icon) periodically for response from PM's CS Agent

Just in case, is it possible you're seeing the charge as a "pending" or "unauthorized" charge and also one which has "posted"?

 

This can sometimes lead some to believe they're being double billed when they are not.  Pending charges 'fall off' after a few days (and sometimes many days) following the actual charge posting to a payment card transaction list.

 

If you're seeing 2 separate posted charges on or around the same date, then you certainly should contact the Customer Support Agents to inquire.

Did you activate about 2-3 months ago?  Did you have problems with activation and had to try multiple times?  

 

Sometimes, a ghost account is created at the same time.  That would cause double billing.

Check your transaction history to see if you find the same charges there.
