Adding a US Roaming option

U.S. Roaming FAQ's

1. What happens after my 10-day U.S. Roaming Add-On expires?

  • 10 days after you purchase your U.S. roaming Add-On, it will automatically expire. If you need another Add-On, you can purchase it the same way you did originally, by using your Self Serve account or calling our automated phone system at 1-855-4PUBLIC.

My question is, can I call 1-855-4PUBLIC while in the USA if I do not have a roaming calling package?  eg - it has just run out and I want to extend it, or extend my text only package.

2nd question - Is it still a 2-step process to add the roaming add-on?
1 - purchase add-on to take funds from my credit card, and
2 - purchase add-on again to actually have it applied.

@smp99

Yes, it is generally still a two-step process to purchase add-ons.  However, the purpose of the first step is to add funds to the account.  If you already have sufficient available funds in your account (e.g. from a manual top-up or a voucher was loaded), then you'll only need to go through the purchase step once.

@xCameron94x I think calling the 855 # reaches the same services as *611 from Canada. For non-legacy accounts that would be making payments and purchasing add-ons.
