Not sure if it is just my setup but I have been trying to login to my account using the latest version of Chrome - all to no avail. It wouldn't let me off the login page. I finally tried Edge and got in with no problem. Just thought I'd pass this along in case others have the same problem.

you have been using the Chrome to access the old My Account
I notice since the coming of new My Account, the browser that used to login to the old one could have problem. I cleared cache and fixed it.
but yes, you are right to try another browser
