4G

I changed my plan to 4G but on my phone it still shows 3G and it’s been a couple months now  will it change to 4G?

@SandraTuga  if it only shows 3G when you are on a voice call, this is normal , because PM uses only 3G for voice connection, whether you have 3G or 4G plan

What model of band of phone you have?

And, use a speed test app and tell us what speed you got from the test

Under your network connections, don't select automatic. 

Select manual,  then choose the LTE/4G option which should be listed.

Again, LTE is 4G, so if you see LTE on top , you are good, just need a speed test to confirm the speed

I did all that and still the same and I changed my plan a couple months ago

@SandraTuga  couple months, that is not normal

The 4G speed should come within 48 hours

But one thing, does it shows LTE?  please be aware that LTE = 4G

Also, did you use any speed test to confirm the data speed you got?

And check your phone,  see if it has set the correct Preferred network type, is it set to 3G only ? or Automatic? or something with LTE or 4G?

@SandraTuga  change network settings from 3G to 4g also  changing from 3G service to 4G can take up to 48 hours to notice difference in speed , you can try and turn air plane mode on then off might automatically go to 4g for you aswell
