1B1 error

KababMan
Good Citizen / Bon Citoyen

I've been getting "1B1 The client You are trying to reach is not available" message when trying to call a specific 613 (Ottawa) number. I have called this very number a couple of weeks ago successfully.

The number is for a telecom company, so I highly doubt their line is down this long.

Strange, I checked and it says it's off. Is there anything else that could be an issue?

@KababMan - if you called this number successfully before, this could just be a temporary network issue (in yours or the receiver's end).

Check for outages in your area (via links below), or try again later.

The code 1B1 may relate to a call forwarding error of some sort.

Check whether Call Forwarding is enabled on your phone and their phone.

To check, tap the Phone icon, then tap the menu icon (three dots) in the upper-right corner of the screen.

Select Call settings then tap Additional settings or Supplementary Services.

Select Call forwarding and check that always forward is set to Off.

@KababMan

usually that is a problem with the receiving end rather than PM's

Try calling from another phone.  if you have no access to other line, download free VoIP app TextNow.  It is like another phone except you use it on Wifi and Mobile data.  it is free and you makes regular calls on the app like usual.  Try calling that number with TextNow
