I think the issue would be for media sharing. If someone sends you large pictures and videos then that's what could eat up more data. Especially considering that is one of the main advantages of regular sms/mms

If that's the case then it's nice that it should work over wifi. My brother doesn't enable his data unless he needs it. So RCS will work if he's on wifi and if he's not then RCS will just fallback to SMS/MMS. I suppose the same plan limits still appl...
