Wifi Turns off when I leave the house

Debster119

Every Time I leave the house.. My Wifi turns off & I have no cell until I get back to the house.

I have never had this happen until I signed up with PUBLIC?

What do I need to check ?

do I have a setting off or something??

I would love to know which suggestion actually fixed your issue?

@Debster119 : Maybe there's a definition thing here. Wifi is for places like home or coffee shops or whatever. Cellular or mobile data is the internet connection provided by your cell service provider.

If you have wifi at home and you're connected to it then when you leave of course you lose that connection. So if you wish to be connected to the internet then you need to turn on the cellular or mobile data.

Yes, the phone needs to be configured with the correct APN settings or a carrier update to use that internet connection.

  1. check your phone settings to be sure cellualr data is turned ON.
  2. login to your self serve account and look under Data & Add-ons. If there is no data allowance showing there, it's all been used.
