We called Telus for technical support, the settings are working properly..

Me and my collog called Telus for technical support, we came to the conclusion the settings are working properly.

 

Then we tried to reset the phone, to be able to detect the wireless network. Which worked. Wi-fi works fine.

 

Even though my plan includes Call and text messages unlimited and 4gb of data nothing is working but text messages, including not being able to send text picture messages. I've had the confirmation that I paid 65$ for the plan and no technical problems with my phone. Please double check if your network is working. I would like to have the services for which I paid.

2. at the bottom right of the page you just clicked, click on "Email away" button.

 

3. select options of your problem.

it says "contact us",but I never see an email address appear there,how do I contact PM???

Personal Hotspot is the same as Internet tethering.

 

 

 

Please remember that Public Mobile is in BETA. This is to find and fix issues that could occur like yours.

 

 

You have to send an email to Public Mobile technical support to have your issue fixed.

as for the settings, thanks now I have activated my data through those settings. (except I have a different option on the last setting (mine just says 'Personal Hotspot, not 'Internet tethering') I doubt it makes any difference)?

 

I still have a big problem.

I'm missing calls from my deal right now.

I have an Iphone 4s.. means I cannot configure these settings for Android or Blackberry..

Hello @ckritz1,

 

You cannot call Telus directly to get support. Public Mobile and Telus operate differently.

 

 

 

In order to have functionnal MMS and DATA (internet), you need to configure your APN.

 

If it's not possible to edit your APN, then you need to update your iOS version to 8.2 (current version from Apple).

 

 

 

Step-by-step APN configuration :

 

English version


1. Insert your Public Mobile SIM card into your unlocked iPhone. 
2. Tap “Settings”
3. Tap “Cellular”
4. Tap “Cellular Data Network”
5. Change your APN values to match the table below:

*Only update the fields that are circled. Leave every other field empty
