Hi there,

Sorry about that! Our team was recently made aware of an outage impacting multiple carriers in Eastern Canada. Services have been restored.

Thank you for your patience!

@Simrie There was a Major outage with Telus and Bell. Bell internet customers and Telus Phone customers were affected. The outage has been fixed and service is restored.

My phone is blowing up with outage news. Something mustve exploded.

Everything good in Waterloo on my 3 devices. Wonder what happened for that hour.

Spoke too soon. Mine is working again.

Same here. Waterloo region. No service on both phones.

Same here. Suddenly no service, "Mobile network not available". Tried restarting, reinserting SIM, etc. Have been on public for years with no change to phone or anything like that. Ottawa.

My account is active too yet my phone says no service. Just happened around 12:30 pm EST on August 6 2020. I'm in Quebec

@Simrie , @Warguy94 Check the Telus service outage in your area

https://www.telus.com/en/on/outages . If it isn't that try try these  tricks to reset your service. You could try in order:
1.Restarting your phone. Turn it off, remove the SIM card, reinsert it, wait 5 minutes and restart it.
2.Putting your phone on aeroplane mode for 5 minutes. Take it off and restart.
3.From your self service account enable the lost/ stolen feature log out, wait 5  minutes, log in and take it off. Log out and restart your phone.

 Stay safe.

I doubt Telus would want to advertise how bad their service is right now

don't panic, if you don't have service. Telus and Koodo customers don't either

No reported outages on the Telus network.

@Simrie

Can yyou check if your sim matches the sim number in your selfserve?

Support has been contacted right away. You know it's not just that simple when 3 different phones on different software quit at the same time.

Weird... we are in eastern Ontario and it cut out in the middle of a call

Hi @Simrie ,

Did you try:

  • Removing and reinserting your SIM. Reboot
  • Going into airplane mode for 5 minutes, then turning it off. Reboot
  • Reset your network settings

Hope you get up and running again soon!

@Warguy94

  • enable/disable airplane mode
  • turn your device off, take out the sim, turn your device on and reinsert

contact customer support mods if you're still having issues

It is down for us too in Waterloo. GF's iPhone and my Blackberry and Android show no service. Rebooting doesn't change and Telus doesn't even show up in a manual network search.

Try rebooting your phone.  If that does not work then you might need to do a network reset.
