Bought a new phone. It uses Nano SIM. Went to London Drugs and took a new SIM from them. How to swap to the new SIM card? Thanks

Hi @shmantrik
Just to clarify a few of the replies on this thread - in effect ALL replies are correct. What's needed is more details from you to determine which approach is best.

@Quigley : But the others in this thread would say that the OP didn't know these options. That the OP ran out and spent money on something they didn't need. (as far as we know on that too...maybe they have an old SIM that isn't tri-punch)

@Anonymous That's fine but the OP's actions kinda says it all. Either way they found their solution.

@Quigley : As a literal answer to the _question_, yes. But as a more informative answer to the _need_, I interpreted it the way the others have too.

You need to locate the sim card tray on your old phone. It will be retangular with a tiny dot/hole on one side. Unless its a phone with a removable battery then the sim card may be located under the battery. Remove the sim card if it is a tricut then you should be able to gently snap it out if the micro frame.
Now locate the sim tray on the new phone use the sim card pin that came with your phone to pop open the slot. Take the sim card from the old phone and put it in the new phone. If you cannot change the sim card size to fit the new phone then you will have to contact the moderators to do a new sim swap with the brand new sim card.

@Quigley wrote:@esjliv @JK8 The OP was asking how to do a sim card swap not how to modify the current sim card. Just saying 😂
I agree with @esjliv on this. The OP has a SIM card who may not know that it will work with the new phone. The OP may think that each SIM card is tied to each phone. The OP has stressed Nano size so may not know that you can punch out.

@esjliv Sorry, don't think so 😃

Check the SIM you have. Most are tricut and likely you already have. It is hard to see but try to gently push out the nano.

SIM's come in 3 adaptable sizes.
You should be able to transfer your current Public Mobile SIM into your new phone with the 'extra' or 'less' adapter pieces the SIM comes with.

Do you already have a SIM card you are using. Can you punch it out for the nano size?

@shmantrik You'll have to use the chat bubble at the page bottom right corner to get a ticket for help with that. The moderators will have to help you with that process.
