That all depends on the nature of the problem and how to fix it but given that its affecting several customers that we know about and telus is involved that you can be assured its being given a high priority. I imagine that this an technology/infastructure problem vs a system/account issue but either way I am sure they are scrambling to find its source and/or rectify it as quickly as possible.
Ask for the tech team ticket reference # so when you ask for an update you won't have to explain the whole issue to a new moderator. They will be able to easily just check the ticket # for progress.
Have you open a ticket with Mod yet? I think you should , tell them your situation, only 3G works for voice and LTE for text/MMS and see what they say.
