How can I change my number to a local number within my immediate area?

Would really like to obtain a local number from within my Kitchener Waterloo area.

^Actually it can be with in a few minutes if you keep your phone off during the number change process

A delay of one hour is required before your phone be active again. You may also have to reboot a couple of times.

Sometime, problems can occur when you change your phone number.

You can change your number under "My Account" => "Plans and Add-ons" => "Change Phone Number"
