Lol....for which dinner? There's so many.......? Assuming for the Philly Cheese Steaks?
This of course can be made from fresh ingredients but it's a go to for me to use up leftovers from a **bleep** dinner (that might get bleeped...so a piece of cow that you cook in the oven) or steak left overs etc.....I happen to have used left over prime beef roast we had the night before. The recipe amounts below will feed 3 to four people adjust accordingly:
In a hot pan with a little oil (I prefer EVOO) can be combined with butter or bacon fat to lower the smoke temperature....sauteé the onions, after 2 or 3 mins add the peppers and/or veggies. Cook another 3 minutes or so and add all the garlic and beef. Sprinkle with chili powder to taste (about 1 Tbs or so) sauteé for 2 or 3 minutes to heat beef thru....deglaze pan with a little wine, beer, beef broth or just a splash of water. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Portion beef and veggie open faced onto bread or buns. Top with cheese mixture and broil or toast in oven until cheese is melted and slightly browned. Serve w/ leftover roast potatoes? Or fries and gravy or a mixed green salad, caesar salad or the like.....Enjoy!

Been awhile....I had to selectively delete photos to upload these ones.... @J_PM I beg you can you not increase the photo upload limit beyond 2000 images?

Strange isn't it? In one way time has flown and in other ways I look at this thread and say to myself its only been a year since we were on the farm? It almost seems like a lifetime ago.
10-16-2021 01:25 AM
I still can't believe this post is almost a year old. I'm so amazed at how quick the year flew by

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving dinner.
I was hoping to see your food spread but realized you are probably still recovering from your operation.
The two of us were lazy this year and because of restrictions on large dinner parties. We ordered our Turkey dinner while in the Northshore at Sharky’s Chophouse at the Quay.

@darlicious Wow, if it wasn't so sad & pitiful, it'd probably be kinda funny. 😮
10-05-2021 02:39 PM
OMG....LOL!! People would think they were staged.....he tops himself all the time!😲
10-05-2021 02:04 PM
@darlicious If it's really as bad as that, and what you mentioned last time too, maybe that needs a whole new thread..... of course, with the accompanying before & after pics for all to gasp in horror at! 🤣

You have no idea.....😔

As usual, everything looks delicious!
Just wondering how you’ve been doing since your hip replacement.

Oh geez its been awhile....

Other than the physio I have to do everyday the main thing yo are told to do is get up and walk. Of course I have to heal but I can stand much longer now than I could before surgery as I am nearly pain free whereas before the pain was excruciating after 5 minutes on my feet.
Here's an oldie but a goodie.....

Glad you are back home now. Why are you on your feet so early?
It better be takeout…don’t want you to hurt yourself.

Back to normal food....
