Sheesh....a little pricey indeed. Want to meet halfway and trade? Lol! Lobster is averaging $15.99/lb last I looked although Sobey's has it on sale for $12.99/lb with an equivalent $3/lb air miles discount ($9.99/lb) but the only Sobey's is in Langley so impossible for me to get to and you can't price match air miles. So no surf n turf this weekend! Provigo in quebec had them on sale for $5.99/lb this weekend alas some things are always cheaper there...

Spot prawns are $38/lb in the East Coast but lobsters are probably cheaper than the West Coast.

I had a roommate once that whenever he made something that had bacon in the recipe he made a whack of extra bacon as "snacking bacon" so he wouldn't run short for the meal.
"Outdoor bacon tastes better than indoor bacon."
I noticed this stitched into the inside trim of my favourite mec backpack while camping about a year after I purchased it.

Well, there's bacon involved, and since you can't go wrong by adding bacon, that has to be a slam dunk for delicious...... 👍

Vermicelli w/a light tomato sauce, olive oil, garlic, red onion, celery, green pepper, spinach and shrimp

They are but a little pricey at $18/lb. But if I was to treat myself.....it would probably be something simple to just highlight the sweetness of the prawns. Maybe a ceviche as a starter and hmmm... I would have to think about a main course.

Spot prawns are in season on the West Coast and I would love to see what you can make with it.

While cooking comes naturally to me and I have too much time on my hands at tne moment... most meals don't actually take that much time. You just need a little bit of meal planning, prep time and a few short cuts.
Jamie's 15 minute meals ( Jamie Oliver) is a great series to show how to make great meals fast by showing you all the short cuts to prep and cook in no time. Then you just need to have a little imagination and be flexible with your ingredients.
And I just have food on my brain all day....thinking about what needs to be used up from the fridge, do I have something to make sauce? What's my starch going to be? Do I have a certain spice for a theme? Italian seasoning? Curry? Cumin? Ginger? Garlic? Pesto? Wine? I just start thinking about taste, ingredients, method of cooking and it all comes together!

Where do you have the time to make all those great looking dishes.
Not enough time in the day for me to make a fabulous meal.

The ban is for not posting pics of what you're having for dinner. Since I've never posted anything about what I've had for dinner, I'm not required to post pics.... C'MON, read the rules!!! ..... if you can find 'em. 😜
But a dinner meme may get you permanently banned especially if you have to eat crow!😃
Especially if I post details about how I acquired said crow! 🙄
