Used data and wifi not working

Also, my Wi-Fi at home and places a visit with free Wi-Fi or not working. Any help would be appreciated!

go to your setting and reset network

What make / model phone you using ?

That is a physical phone issue not a sim card carrier issue (public mobile).

For wifi issue:

A. Restart your phone.

B. Make sure your phone is not in airplane mode.

C. You can update your phone software.

You can use your phone on wifi without a sim card in the phone. 

Last resort bring it to a phone repair shop.
