It's hard not to be cynical. We have so few real options that they only have to be comparable to telus to keep customers. I'm not optimistic.

The Shaw sign was taken down by helicopter about 10 days ago.
Part of the merger agreement, existing customers will keep their plan rates for 5 years but they will reach out to customers to switch to Rogers.

Rogers use to be out here on the west coast before internet and mobile phones ... then Shaw took over.
I use a third party reseller for internet that uses Shaw's infrastructure. Needless to say, if you require customer service from a Shaw technician, the wait is weeks since they make their own customers a priority. I would expect the same wait times with Rogers now. As with anything, you get what you pay for.
