Dotmobile releases pricing info....

Dotmobile has seemed to release a plan for their pricing. They didn't mention anything about data pricing but they mentioned their talk and text plan pricing.

30 Day Full plan is 14$

360 Day Full plan is 120$

The full plan includes ESIM, Unlimited US and Canada talk and text, Unlimited voicemail, Call forwarding, all that Jazz. They are also working on creating cloud services so you can text using your phone number from a browser or a desktop.

Now here's the exiting part. Founding members get a special 0$ plan with all the features of the full plan.

This is gonna be a tough one. I pay next to nothing for my phone plan here but thats due to all my refferals. Most of them are family and 3 of them are under the same household as me. They pay full price for their plans (except for the autopay discount). I dont have time to build up refferals on their accounts.

If anything dotmobile would be the cheaper route. You also gain the benefits of ESIM, Live support, modern payment system that is more secure and accepts apple/google pay, they have a mobile app, Rollover data, and Data on tap.

Idk but it dotmobile seems promising. I have like 5 email accounts signed up with them so there's 5 free accounts I can use.

I mean. They arent out.

The rules are better than before. At least they can operate on regional carriers i think.

They did not plan/want to be another PC Mobile reselling big 3 services. The goal was buy connectivity only and deliver their own products.

@Korth : What a  brilliant metaphor. Thanks for the smile.

Telecom Notice of Consultation CRTC Public record: 1011-NOC2019-0057

The original document was dated 2019.

Why did the CRTC wait two years? Why did they force the applicant to wait two years before scheduling a "consultation"?

They obviously don't intend to rush this one to market, in fact their deliberate inaction has passively obstructed the process, so far they've only trudged forward exactly as far as the courtroom whips can reach.

The CRTC especially won't want to shift the regulatory landscape around and risk upsetting the current landmark-forming (money cow opportunity) Big Business Deal between mountains ... at least not to simply accommodate some annoying little startup which can continue waiting on the sidelines. You don't decide to start digging and replanting your garden while there's a wedding ceremony in your backyard.

I do hope the CRTC lets some sand slip through their clenched fingers. But I'm skeptical about this "consultation", I think it's just going to be a smile-and-nod performance for the reporters which will get ignored with prejudice the moment the room is clear.

@AE_Collector They've made a partner with iristel recently but that's it. They've been developing this for about 3 years now. They also recently been approved as Canada's first NVMO. They are currently in the process of partnering with one of the big 3.

More info can be found on their site.

https://dotmobile.app/

They have their cloud core and backend all setup. They just gotta partner with one of the big 3 now.

The pricing plan they released was based off of the current resale rates from the big 3. Service hasn't officially launched yet but MIGHT launch close to the end of 2021

What network are they using?
