How do I register without a public mobile number. I am trying to activate my sim, but I would like a 514 (Montreal) area code

@jnwilliam , if you are activating online yourself and not at a store, the steps are generally as laid out in this illustrated guide.  Phone number selection is covered.

Hi @jnwilliam 

 

Do you mean you're porting a number from another provider and you don't want Public Mobile to choose a number for you?   Or, that you're not in the Montreal area but would like a Montreal based area code?

 

Your options for phone numbers will depend on the location registered on the activation process.

 

After the number is assigned, you're permitted once change per 30 days, free of charge.

@jnwilliam 

You will need to activate a PM Sim card/account to make a self service account.  If you activate at home, you will automatically make a self service account with email address as login and you would choose your own password on activation.  If you activate in store, you will need to return home and activate a self service account at home.
