How often can I change my email?

 

I gave my sim to a friend to use for a week and changed it to his email. He will be using it for 2 weeks or so, but now I am wondering if I can change the email again later for another person.

I would think that using an email for this account that is a new one you make just for the purpose of it being your pm account email would be better. Then as suggested by @hTideGnow  you can just change the password and security question and answer as needed. Keep a credit gift card with no balance for the autopay reward and it can be changed to the current user credit card if needed but keeps you safe from any extra expenses should the user of the phone not have a card or is using vouchers.

I would think CSA can change it back. And knowing that you already changed it once, you certainly would know the method to request to change it back again.

 

But, I think the question I have is why bother changing it in the first place? 

The main issue would be is if someone's credit card is attached under Autopay to this account, the owner of the credit card should probably be also the email owner.

 

What not change it to your email, and let him use your phone...what would be the downfall of this?

@dankli04   I am thinking about it again.. why you need to change the email address?  Just change the password, and give the My account to him with your email address.. and the new password.

 

when he is done using the phone or account, you go back to change the password again.  But in fact, I suggest you to change the security question as well, just in case.

 

Although the My Account uses your email address as the username, it really does not have much connection with the email account.  I don't really see any point to change the email address to your friend's one.

Oh really?  even PM CS Agent won't help that? honest, I think they can do it on the backend.

 

On the other hand, if an email was used once, account then cancelled.  Can that email address be used again to activate a new account?

Yes, won't  be a problem changing it now and 2 weeks later,

 

Just make sure your Community email and Self-Serve email match at all time so PM can credit you the community reward. (at least around the day when PM gives out the reward, I think within the first 10 days of the month)    🙂

There's no limit on the amount of changes to the e-mail address associated with the Self Serve account.
