Porting Stuck

Hi 

I activated 3 new sim cards yesterday and it went smoothly.

 

Today I began porting the first phone to the number I wanted (a Vonage landline) to use.

After a minute or two I got the message saying that the transfer was successful.

The phone showed new number in it's setup and I was able to call out but can't reach it using either the old or the new number.  Calling the ported number goes directly to voicemail for the old Vonage account. Waited 3 hours and then send a PM to a moderator with phone numbers & account number. Now it's been 9 hours and still no service.

 

Awaiting a response from Shazia_K or other moderator.

Unfortunately there's nothing the rest of us can do. If you've PM'ed the mod, you're on the right track. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to get it fixed. Good luck!

I am also having the same issue. Smiley Sad For me it's been almost 24 hours.

Vonage, and other VoIP systems allow porting, but they are treated as landlines, and could potentially take up to a few days to port.  This is considered normal.

 

cellular phones port in an average time of 2.5 hours.  

 

It will I'll be a bit of a waiting game.
