Even though i have a 45$ balance i am unable to use data on my phone.

How to deal with this?

Is your account status suspended for missed payment?

If yes, you added $45 to your account manually and your available fund is $45 at the moment, did you click on the re-activate your account link or button?


If your account is active, do you see your data usage line on your overview page after login?

The following line is my data usage line which I used 3352MB out of my 5120MB/cycle.

5GB at 3G Speed  3352.858  /  5120 MB
If you do not see similar usage line, you may have used all data.
You had used all your data.  Follow @geopublic sugguestion to get more data or do nothing by using wifi for the rest of your current cycle.
If you see simlar usage line, you still have data left for your current cycle. follows @geopublic suggestion to configure your APN.

@Ziad1 You balance has nothing to do with your data. If you used up all you data then it will stop working until one of three things occur:

 

1. Purchase a data addon

2. Do an immediate plan change to another plan with data.

3. Renew your current plan early. Note if you choose this option you need to contact the moderators because it is not allowed via selfserve.

 

Edit: To verify if you used up you current data allowance access selfserve if there isn't a data counter showing on your landing page it means that you have used up all your data.

@Ziad1 For data to work you need to have data turned on and use the correct APN settings.

 

These are the Public Mobile APN settings you need:

Name: Public Mobile
APN: sp.mb.com
Proxy: Leave blank
Port: Leave blank
Username: Leave blank
Password: Leave blank
Server: Leave blank
MMSC: http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/mb/mmsc
MMSC proxy: 74.49.0.18
MMS port: 80
MCC: 302
MNC: 220
Authentication type: Leave blank
APN type: default,mms,agps,supl,fota,hipri
APN protocol: IPv4
APN roaming protocol: IPv4
Bearer: Unspecified
MVNO type: GID
MVNO value: 4D4F

Don't forget to save these settings and then select this APN as the active one.


If you need to know where to find the settings:
Android
Settings > More / More Networks / Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > New APN setting (or a plus sign)

Iphone
Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Cellular Network
OR
Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Options > Mobile Data Network.
