I am trying to activate my sim card, and I want to use my same number I have been using from pc mobile. How do i tranfer to public mobile?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Start the process here:
When you get to the place of choosing a new # or an existing number, it will become fairly obvious... You will choose to transfer in an existing number and be asked for some account info. Let us know how it goes. Hopefully someone has referred you so you get the $10 credit for the SIM card you purchased. (Until May 10th, 2018)
If porting in (transferring) from PC Mobile still requires some help from Public Mobile in order to get ported, then you must choose a new # temporarily when activating the SIM card, and then contact a moderator (PM Employee) to get the PC Mobile line ported. You can do that here:
Contacting a mod:
I see some previous (old) discussions about porting from PC Mobile which indicated you did need assistance, but I'm not sure if it still requires a Public employee to assist behind the scene or not. That old discussion from mid-2016 is here: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Getting-Started/Porting-from-PC-Mobile/m-p/60853
@owasplayer, a piece of additional information... If you are coming from PC mobile post-paid, then you must use a different email address from the one used with PC mobile.
@nrg_svr, I do not beleive you need moderator assistance to port in from PC mobile. That rule is only for porting from Koodo prepaid.
It's still not working for me, I have changed my email. It is still not accepting me to change my number to my original number.
Since Public Mobile use the same system has PC Mobile and Koodo prepaid, any ports coming from them cannot be completed through the self-serve portal or activation form it has to be done directly by Moderator_Team.
You will need to send a private message to a Moderator_Team, they will help you!

In your message, please, explain your situation to them.
Contact Support hours of operation:
Monday - Friday 9AM (EDT) - 9PM (EDT) Saturday - Sunday 9AM (EDT) - 7:30PM (EDT)
P.S. Keep using your old SIM until it stops working, then you would know porting is complete. Do not close your old account; that will happen automatically. Then swipe to your new SIM card from Public Mobile.
